That we might know Him who is true.

1 John 5:19-20, We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

There’s no doubt about the world being in the grip of the evil one. We see evidence of that all around us, no matter how some try to redefine basic word definitions. Evil is real, the world is in the grip of one who is pure evil. Jesus Christ has come to set us free, and we who are set free have the incredible freedom that comes only through Him. Who does He want to set free today?
