As He walked.

1 John 2:3-6, And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

I know for sure that I fail in many ways to walk in the same manner as He walked. I did it today, in being short with someone who doesn’t seem to perform the way I want them to. How wonderful that He is still interceding for me, wanting me to walk the way He walked. How amazing that He gives me opportunities to learn His ways, to abide in Him more and more every day. How wonderful that He has sent me a Helper that, and that I can seek to hear His voice more clearly tomorrow.

I want to abide in You, that I may walk as You walked, Lord.
