Do not imitate what is evil, but what is good.
3 John 11, Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
Even in the church, there are those who set forth their own agenda or bring down trouble. We are encouraged to do the right thing anyway. Paul wrote that we should not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. I know that by my own strength and desires, I don’t want to do this; it is only by keeping my eyes upon the Lord that I can do good in the face of evil actions.
Lord, Help me to stay focused upon You, to imitate what is good.
