Given him from heaven.
John 3:26-27, And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have borne witness, behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him.” John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven.”
There was no hint of wondering who is the greatest with John, for even as he saw what was happening with Jesus and his ministry, he knew the source was sent from heaven. We live in such a competitive world; it’s easy to fall into that trap in ministry. Are we able to join with John in proclaiming “He must increase, but I must decrease?”
We want to give You all the glory in all that we do, especially in ministry.
