Once you have turned again.
Luke 22:31-32, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”
Jesus is not surprised at my sin. He knew that Peter would not be able to stand, that he would fall away just as He knows my own fallings, failings and sin. And the good news is that He has paid the price in full, not so that I can willfully sin, but so that I can receive His forgiveness and cleansing. And like Peter, when I turn again, I can strengthen my brothers.
Thank You when we sin, that when we confess our sin You are “faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness!”
