Fire upon the earth.

Luke 12:49-50, "I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!"

John the Baptist saw that Jesus would bring a baptism of His Holy Spirit and of fire. Do we really see the fire of His gospel ignited in the world around us? There are those who try to impede His good news; what if we are able to see His good news come to life, to rage against the power of darkness with the fury like that of a forest fire? Are we ready to see that kind of revival roar into life all over the world?

We pray for the fire of Your gospel to blow back the darkness in this sin sick world, Lord Jesus; use us today!
