Not all things edify.
1 Corinthians 10:23-24, All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify. Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor.
We have tremendous freedom in being released from the power of sin and death by the blood of our perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ. It gives us a higher responsibility, to “flee from idolatry,” which usually involves putting ourselves first. Why not look for ways to put others first, to bring glory to His name?
Open my eyes to my own selfish ways; help me to see how to bring Your good to others.
