Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
Luke 13:34-35, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it! Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!'"
Jesus received a death threat and replied with a prophecy and with this amazing compassion. His disciples, like us, were thinking it was time to call down fire from above, as if we had the power to do so. His fire is not like that, His fire brings life and promise. What amazing things have happened in the past decades to show us that beyond a doubt, God has not forgotten Jerusalem!
Lord, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for Your are the only hope for peace in that region!
