War against the soul.
1 Peter 2:11, Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.
It’s pretty clear that we are in a war. Peter’s advice is pretty simple when it comes to “fleshly lust,” just stop it! Fortunately, we know that when we resist the devil, He will flee; when we abstain from our own fleshly lusts, we win a battle in the war against our soul.
We thank You that You are always willing to supply strength for the battle we face.
