Take courage, arise!
Mark 10:49, And Jesus stopped and said, "Call him here." And they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take courage, arise! He is calling for you."
When I read this passage, I have to wonder if the people encouraging the blind man were some of the same ones who were "sternly telling him to be quiet." There are always those who will try to tell us what to do, but when Jesus is there, and our desire is as strong as it was for this blind man, we will do the same thing. The blind man wasn’t concerned about what people thought, only that he needed help from Jesus!
Let me put my desire for You ahead of what others think about my actions.
