He gave Himself for us.

Titus 2:11-14, For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus; who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

He gave Himself for us. He laid aside His incredible glory for a reason: to redeem us. The price has been paid, the only question is what will we do with it? Will we watch and wait for His appearing? Or will we be so concerned with the cares of this world that we miss what He has in store for us? He is not only redeemed us, but He is ready to bring us into purity. Are we His possession, looking for those good deeds that He has in mind for us today?

Open our eyes to see those good deeds which You have for us!
