"'Here I am.'"

Isaiah 52:5-6, "Now therefore, what do I have here," declares the Lord, "seeing that My people have been taken away without cause?” Again the Lord declares, “Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually blasphemed all day long. Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, 'Here I am.'''

We can certainly see some parallels with today’s culture, there are those who howl over anything that remotely relates to Holy scripture, God and especially the Lord Jesus Christ. We are bombarded with attempts to discredit His name. Even so, we know that He is not unaware, and that He offers up His strength and hope that He will prevail. Even as He prevailed over those ancient enemies of His people will He prevail as King of King and Lord of Lords.
