Fully convinced.

Romans 4:19-25, He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb. No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” But the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

What is impossible for man is possible for God, for Sarah was well past the age of bearing a child, and yet Abraham believed that He would fulfill His promise by faith. And we are heirs of that promise, for we know that Jesus Christ was indeed raised from the dead and has fully justified us in the sight of the law, something we could not obtain by ourselves. The One who raised Him from the dead has also raised us who were dead in sin and trespasses, that we might become the righteousness of God, and be adopted as His children. For it is by faith that we are saved through grace, not by our own righteousness. What a relief, for I know that on my own I can’t qualify. It is Christ Jesus who has paid the price to set me free, and I am fully convinced!
