It came into his heart.
Acts 7:20-23, “At this time Moses was born; and he was beautiful in God’s sight. And he was brought up for three months in his father’s house, and when he was exposed, Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him and brought him up as her own son. And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was mighty in his words and deeds. When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.”
Moses had a calling from God upon his life, and was miraculously delivered from the destruction by Pharaoh’s royal decree. He was in a position of power yet it was not until he was forty years old that he recognized a calling to visit his brothers. We have our own ideas, as did Moses, about how things ought to go. But God had other things in mind and Moses life would dramatically change as a result of his misplaced fervor to help his people. Our ways are not God’s ways, and yet He still is able to use us in His plan. Are we willing to listen well to His calling and be ready to follow His plan?
Thank You that You are able to use us in Your plans despite our failings!
