The true bread from heaven.

John 6:32-34, Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”

They remind us of the woman at the well, for the thing that comes to mind most easily is our daily need for sustenance. He is the true bread from heaven, sent to us by the Father. We can be sure that when we hear His voice, and we come to Him, He will receive us and that in Him we will never hunger or thirst. Are we asking Him to satisfy us with Himself, the true bread of life, the bread of heaven?

We thank You that You are the bread of life, the bread of heaven, sent to sustain us far beyond any bread we could ever eat!
