For you are our glory and joy.
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20, For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you? For you are our glory and joy.
Paul’s chief glory and joy is the Lord Jesus Christ and his amazing gift of grace by faith that is from God, not of works, so that no one may boast. Even so, he rejoices at those who have come to faith, who have been saved by grace through faith. Where is our own glory in joy, in the things of this world or in those who come to know Jesus?
