“If you believed you would see the glory of God.”
John 11:38-40, Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, “Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”
Martha knows that her brother Lazarus will rise again on the last day, and Jesus tells Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life,” yet she can scarcely imagine what is about to happen. He asks for the stone to be removed and then calls forth Lazarus from the dead. When we believe in Him, He calls us to life from the dead and puts His new life within us! And even though we will one day die, we know that we will be with Him face to face!
We thank You for Your new life within us; touch others through us today until we come to see You face to face!
