The Spirit without measure.
John 3:34, “For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure.”
John the Baptist, sent as the forerunner of Jesus, tells his own disciples “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Jesus, Son of God, born in the flesh, was given the Holy Spirit without limit. The Father has given “all things to His hand.” “He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”
We are humbled as we receive Your great mercy to adopt us as Your children, Lord Jesus!
