And they sang a new song.

Revelation 5:9-10, And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”

Jesus came as a lamb to the slaughter, to set us free from the power of sin that grips our world. “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” He is the One who is worthy of all praise as we celebrate remembering His birth and knowing that He is coming soon to make all things new. We join with those saints around the throne crying out, “How long?” “The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.”

We look to You, knowing that this world is not our home, Lord Jesus, come quickly!
