Deceived.

Revelation 18:21a,23b-24, Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more; ... for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth.”

It’s revealing that there is a connection between the death of the righteous and the powers of darkness. We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, “but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” The rebellion continues, as we can see on the nightly news. And God has given us power through the blood of Jesus to be in the world and not of it, and to rescue those who are perishing, for He has overcome the world!

Open our eyes to see what You want to do today, to bring Your good news to others.
