In a single day.
Revelation 18:8, “For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
Jesus warns us about the deceitfulness of riches choking off the word. There is an arrogance about being self-sufficient and independent that comes to an end even in a single day. He is the one who has given us the ability to produce income, and He asks us to be good stewards of all that He gives us. Do we recognize His providence in everything we do?
Thank You for providing for us and reminding us to be good stewards with all that You have given us!
