False apostles.

2 Corinthians 11:1-4, 13-15, For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. ... For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

Today this continues with many false “Jesus” being proclaimed other than the one who is our Redeemer, the only begotten Son of God who takes away the sin of the world! There are too many false religions and false teachers in this world to even begin to name them, but all avoid the one issue: Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but by Him.” This is viewed as “intolerant” by the world, and the cry echos from the first century: “Crucify Him!” He is the one with the words of life and He has done on the cross what no other could do. His truth is too simple for man: “For it is by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, lest anyone should boast.”

We long to know You better each day, to take up our cross and follow You in the life You have given us! By Your perfect sacrifice we know that “It is finished!”
