Though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor.

2 Corinthians 8:9, For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

Paul recounts the amazing giving of some of the poorer churches in Macedonia, who gave to the relief of others even though they had little to give. We live in a time of amazing blessing in comparison to most of the world and have opportunities to bless others through our own prosperity. Jesus gave up His own glory to take the form of a servant and then to take up His cross and to die to set us free by His grace. Do we look for ways to bless others out of our own abundance?

Thank You for the many ways You have blessed us; open our eyes to the best way to use what You have given us to bless others in Your name!
