O my God, in Thee I trust.
Psalm 25:1-7, TO Thee, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, in Thee I trust, do not let me be ashamed; do not let my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none of those who wait for Thee will be ashamed; those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed. Make me know Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in Thy truth and teach me, for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, Thy compassion and Thy lovingkindnesses, for they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to Thy lovingkindness remember Thou me, for Thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
There are many people of faith upset about the liberal, immoral tide that seems to be sweeping our land. While it’s good to be concerned it’s better to put our trust in the One who is really in control. We are more like the disciples who were quick to ask if they should call down fire upon their perceived enemies! Our response ought to be that of Jesus: He tells them that He did not come to destroy men’s live but to save them. God will be pleased to use all sorts of circumstances to accomplish His purpose! Look at the repressive political environment that Paul faced when he urged Timothy to intercede on behalf of all men, “for kings and all who are in authority.” Look at the tremendous revival that is taking place in other parts of the world like Asia or Cuba to see how He is pleased to move!
We thank You for our country where we have the ability to choose our leaders; we put all of our trust in You for the outcome and pray for great revival for our nation that will spread the fire of Your gospel to all nations!
