Do not fret.
Psalm 37:7-11, Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret, it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land. Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; and you will look carefully for his place ,and he will not be there. But the humble will inherit the land, and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.
The current political, economic and moral situation in our nation and our world lends itself to this advice not to fret, for there is no doubt that God is in control. The early believers in Christ who followed The Way were martyred, as they have been through the centuries; yet they were faithful even to death. We may be coming to a time when evil shouts from the rooftops; will we be faithful in walking in those good works that He has planned for us? Will we trust in His plans and His power? Will we wait upon the Lord and be part of the rising tide of His mighty salvation to quench the fire of evil?
Keep us from fretting that leads to evil; we put all of our trust in You; we thank You that You are in control.
