That the wicked turn from his way and live.

Ezekiel 33:10-11, “Now as for you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus you have spoken, saying, “Surely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are rotting away in them; how then can we survive?”’ Say to them, ‘As I live!’ declares the Lord GOD, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?’”

Many people think that God is ready to punish sinners, even enjoying the opportunity. Even more frightening are certain religious people who think that they are safe in their own self-righteousness, and look forward to seeing sinners experience God’s wrath. We know the truth: that there is good news, that Jesus Christ has set us free from the power of sin and death, and He has commissioned us with His ministry of reconciliation. His offer is “Come unto me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”

We want to reach those whom You are calling today with Your amazing grace! Empower us by Your Spirit with Your words of life.
