It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Acts 20:35, “In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

We can give nothing that we don’t have; Paul shows us the way of ministry in that he worked hard to support himself in his profession. We who are blessed to have “secular” work need to consider Paul’s attitude, that he would finish the course of the ministry given to him by the Lord Jesus. Most of us have not had the Damascus road experience that Paul had, but we know that we are to go and make disciples! Where might He use us today?

Use me in the ministry that You have given me; thank You for your provision and the ability I have to work hard for Your glory.
