The word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.
Acts 19:18-20, Many also of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices. And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of all; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.
It’s easy to focus on the “extraordinary miracles” that Paul was doing, healing the sick and driving out evil spirits, even by the virtue of one of his handkerchiefs. The purpose was to bring glory to His name, that even those who had power from the black arts of magic would know that there is one true and living God and that His name would be glorified. His purpose is accomplished by many methods!
We want Your word to grow mightily and to prevail to bring glory to Your name by any means possible!
