He was hurrying to be in Jerusalem.

Acts 20:16, For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus in order that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be in Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of Pentecost.

We get a small glimpse in this one paragraph of the difficulty of travel in Paul.s day. And he also had people pursuing him intent on taking his life! We are blessed to live in a time of great ease of travel, we nearly fly over creeks and rivers that once took hours to cross; we literally fly over oceans to other continents. What would Paul have accomplished if he had access to this?
