Luke 19:11, And while they were listening to these things, He went on to tell a parable, because He was near Jerusalem, and they supposed that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately.

Believers have always looked for things to happen immediately, it seems. Everyone expected His immediate return after His ascension, as we do today. One day that will happen, without a doubt. In the meantime, He has us on a journey. He has entrusted us with the “business” of His kingdom until He does return. Are we looking for ways to invest all that He has entrusted to us every day, seeking the best return for Him?

Of course we desire that You return, Lord; open our eyes to all the amazing possibilities we have to multiply all that You have entrusted to us today, to bring glory to Your name!
