Practicing hospitality.

Romans 12:10-13, Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

This week has seen some challenges in the area of our finances. At the same time, I have a friend who has been on our prayer list, who has been having some serious personal struggles, who has been out of work, call me and ask for a loan. Today, I had a man ask me for a dollar for a hamburger, but I couldn’t help him. Later, another mentally challenged young man asked me to loan him $2.50 so he could get a video. I was able to help two of these friends; it’s as if the Lord is reminding me who is in charge of our finances.

Help me to be able to serve those who are in need; thank You for supplying our needs in such abundance over the years, O Lord!
