Find out what pleases the Lord.
Ephesians 5:8-10, For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.
As we consider our hopes, goals and dreams in this New Year, surely we can observe what Paul recommends: find out what pleases the Lord. And in so doing, we can bring His light into dark places. It might be that we are the only ones able to do so in our particular situation!
We look to planting Your seeds of light today that will grow into the fruit of goodness, righteousness and truth; help us to plant in fertile soil, O Lord!
