A breath will take them away.
Isaiah 57:11-13, "Of whom were you worried and fearful, when you lied, and did not remember Me, nor give Me a thought? Was I not silent even for a long time so you do not fear Me? I will declare your righteousness and your deeds, but they will not profit you. When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you. But the wind will carry all of them up, and a breath will take them away. But he who takes refuge in Me shall inherit the land, and shall possess My holy mountain."
Isaiah seems to speak to our own generation with warnings about placing trust in our own supposed righteousness. Indeed there seem to be so many who pursue the very actions mentioned in this passage, who ignore the certainty that there is a living God. Peter wrote that there would be "mockers" who follow their own lusts and deny the truth of scripture. By faith, we who know Him are certain that He is our great refuge, and we put all our hope in Him. Let us pray for great revival throughout our land that others may come to know Him.
Thank You for keeping us strong even in the face of temptation; help us to be Your witnesses, bring revival upon our land and upon our world!
