Those whom he desired.

Mark 3:13, And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach and have authority to cast out demons.

When Jesus called, people came to him, for a specific purpose. We lead lives that are full and busy. Do we take time to listen, even when we pray? We have his great commission, to go and make disciples; how is he calling me specifically today, what is his desire?

Open my ears to hear the voice of your Spirit; give me boldness to obey all that you desire, for I cannot do this on my own! I need you every hour.
