He is a chosen instrument of mine.

Acts 9:15-19, But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”

Paul, then known as Saul, was not out looking for Jesus, he was intent on tracking down and persecuting those who were following Him. How amazing it is that God would choose him to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles and much of the known world! Paul was caught up in a glimpse of God’s glory that propelled him even through suffering for the name of Jesus. Paul would later write “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” No matter what is happening, we can know that God is moving His plans forward, to bring glory to His name. How exciting that we get to be a part of it!

We stand in awe of You and Your amazing plans for redeeming this world and all creation!
