“The tents of the destroyer prosper.”

Job 12:1-6, Then Job responded, “Truly then you are the people, and with you wisdom will die! But I have intelligence as well as you; I am not inferior to you. And who does not know such things as these? I am a joke to my friends. The one who called on God, and He answered him; the just and blameless man is a joke. He who is at ease holds calamity in contempt, as prepared for those whose feet slip. The tents of the destroyers prosper, and those who provoke God are secure, whom God brings into their power.”

If it were true that good works bear immediate reward, and evil is instantly punished there would be no faith required. He has given us faith; even though in this world we will have trouble, we have His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us. As we see those who seemingly deserve punishment, we can interceded before our gracious Father in heaven who has given us His amazing grace.

Thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning; give us Your grace to intercede for those who do not know You.
