The sting of death is sin.

1 Corinthians 15:56-58, The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

Anyone who thinks that death has no sting is deluded. Anyone who denies the reality of sin needs to take note of the amount of high-dollar real estate in any city in the world dedicated to dealing with sin. Even better, simply volunteer to spend time in the nursery to see that children need not be taught how to lie, bite, hit, steal, throw tantrums or be selfish! Fortunately, He has dealt with sin once and for all on the cross, and He will one day vanquish death along with its sting. For now, we are empowered by His Holy Spirit to be salt and light in this world, not to deal with sin but to love the sinner. Perhaps He may call someone to new life that we know today?
