The hand of the Lord is upon you.
Acts 13:8-10, But Elymas the magician (for thus his name is translated) was opposing them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fixed his gaze upon him, and said, “You who are full of all deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to make crooked the straight ways of the Lord? “And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and not see the sun for a time.” And immediately a mist and a darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand. Then the proconsul believed when he saw what had happened, being amazed at the teaching of the Lord.
It’s important to read this book of Acts of the Apostles carefully to understand God’s power. We have this typical artist’s conception of Jesus, a serene expression, looking up in to a stream of light. He met Paul on the road to Damascus also striking him blind temporarily and changing his life, and He used Paul later in striking this evil magician blind that others would believe. Do we really understand that He is all powerful?
We are in awe of Your power and also that You want us to believe and to be used by You to reach others.
