That we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16, Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Think of Him as even now He is seated at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for us. He has good works laid out for us today and He has not left us as orphans, for He has sent us another comforter, the Holy Spirit. Even if we are tested, we know that He is for us and that all things are “Yes” and “Amen” as we walk in His will. And we know that just as He has accepted us that we can come before His amazing throne of grace anytime we have a need.

We come before Your throne of grace today to receive Your mercy and find grace in our time o f need, O Lord. We need Your power for today!
