He learned obedience through what He suffered.
Hebrews 5:7-10, In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
If Jesus offered up prayers, we certainly need to as well. Since He suffered, we should not be surprised at suffering especially when the purpose is for us to learn obedience. He has told us that in this world we will have trouble, but He has overcome the world. We are invited to cast all of our cares upon Him, for He cares for us. And we have His promise that He will never leave us, nor forsake us.
Even when we might suffer, we thank You for Your presence and Your strength, that we might learn obedience!
