He has ... transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son!

Colossians 1:13-14, He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Paul’s prayers for the new believers are fantastic. It’s as a pastor friend once said, that the prayers in scripture are already approved in the throne-room of God for us to freely use! We can ask Him to fill us with the knowledge of His will “in all spiritual wisdom and understanding” believing in faith that He is ready to do so. And He will do this so that we can walk in His ways, to please Him in the good works that He has prepared for us today. Not only that, but we can ask for His strength and power “according to His glorious might” that we might endure with patience in His hope, for we have our inheritance in Him! We need no longer walk in darkness for we have been transferred into the kingdom of His Son; we are redeemed and forgiven of our sins!

Remind us at each step that we are Your own, that we are redeemed and forgiven our sins, and that we have been transferred into Your kingdom of glorious light!
