Casting all your anxieties on him.

1 Peter 5:6, Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

We live in an age of heightened anxieties, encouraged by many technological advances. There is a near infinite array of things to worry about to fear, especially in these time of economic uncertainty brought on by the “best and the brightest” in our world. Peter encourages us as one who witnessed the sufferings of Jesus Christ to humble ourselves as servants to each other. As we become aware of a particular anxiety, we can do the simple act of casting our cares upon Him. He who set the stars in place is more than able to help us. He is the one, on the night He was betrayed, who took the role of the lowliest servant and washed the feet of His disciples to show us that the greatest among you is the servant of all.

Open our eyes to ways to serve one another in Your love and Your name today!
