In your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 28:10-14, Then Jacob departed from Beersheba and went toward Haran. And he came to a certain place and spent the night there, because the sun had set; and he took one of the stones of the place and put it under his head, and lay down in that place. And he had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the LORD stood above it and said, “I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your descendants. Your descendants shall also be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.”

Jacob becomes aware of the presence of God in His life and that He has continued the promise to bring redemption to all the nations by His Seed, now carried by Jacob. What would Jacob have thought if only he had been able to glimpse the power of the blessing to the world! Would he have believed what he saw had he seen but a glimpse of the millions of lives touched by the grace of the Lord revealed in Jesus Christ? He was blessed to be a blessing to all the earth.

Thank You for all Your blessings in Christ Jesus; thank You that You are willing to use us to be a blessing to the world in Him!
