That He may teach us concerning His ways.

Isaiah 2:1-4, The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. Now it will come about that in the last days, the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; and all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His ways, and that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And He will judge between the nations, and will render decisions for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hook. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war.

The wisdom of man falls short. We see the wisdom of God being denied and suppressed and the wisdom of man exalted. Our only hope is in the wisdom of God provided through Jesus Christ. We see the inscription at the United Nation about turning the swords into plowshares, but that is not the solution; it is the result of the Lord establishing His reign and the nations seeking His teaching. We should not be surprised at the “wars and rumors of wars” as His wisdom is being denied and even suppressed!

We worship You O Lord and pray to receive Your wisdom each day as to how we ought to live and walk in the good deeds that You have prepared for us to bring glory to Your name!
