Holy unto the Lord.

Exodus 28:36, “You shall also make a plate of pure gold and shall engrave on it, like the engravings of a seal, ‘Holy to the LORD.’”

We find the incredible detail of the garment to be worn by Aaron, who was chosen as High Priest to bring the offering for the sins of the people before God. And on his turban, he wore this plate of pure gold bearing the inscription, “Holy unto the Lord.” We catch a glimpse of what Christ has done for all of us who believe in Him, in making atonement for our sin. When we believe in Jesus Christ, we are “sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise.” We are a “chosen race, a royal priesthood, a Holy nation, a people for God’s own possession.” We are now “His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Let me remember today Your seal that marks me “Holy unto the Lord.”
