"It is for the glory of God."
John 11:3-4, So the sisters sent to him, saying, “Lord, he whom you love is ill.” But when Jesus heard it he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”
There were actually those who had witnessed Jesus restoring the sight of a man born blind who were critical of Jesus, asking if He could not have kept Lazarus from dying. Jesus had a higher purpose, which makes no sense to the mind of man, to bring glory to God and His Son by raising Lazarus at a time when decay would have been well underway. Perhaps there are things that are sensible to us from our limited viewpoint that God will use to bring glory to His name?
