No need of sun or moon.

Revelations 21:23, And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Now we have the greater light of the sun, and the lesser light of the moon and we all know how necessary it is to life. In the new city even light will be transformed by the Glory of God for our light, and the Lamb as our lamp. We know that in this dark world, the night brings risks and terrors that evaporate in the presence of light; in that world there is not ever a night, and the gates of the city never need to be closed against evil. What kind of vision will we have when God’s glory and the Lamb’s lamp provide our light?

We thank You for Your word that we have today, a “lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” We long to be in Your presence and the light of Your glory!
