Eternal life.
John 17:1-2, When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.
The world does not see the glory in the cross; the world sees Jesus as one of many who were doomed to be tortured and left to die a slow, agonizing death soon to be forgotten. This death was different, for Jesus was blameless, not deserving in any way the punishment due all who sin and fall short of the glory of God. How amazing that in the cross all justice is satisfied for those of us who need Him so that when God looks at us He sees us as sinless, His adopted children! How amazing is His gift beyond this world to set us free!
We thank You for the cleansing blood of Christ, shed for many, to strike down the barrier between us!
