They were saying.

Mark 3:28-30, Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

His own family was very concerned by his ministry, for the crowds were so demanding that they did not even have time to eat. Their reaction was that he was out of his mind, which is exactly how some responded later to Paul! But the religious leaders were on treacherous ground when they said that his power came from the prince of demons, for Jesus had the Holy Spirit without measure. He came to break the power of sin as a perfect offering and did miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit, casting out the unclean spirits. One can only hope that some had their eyes opened by his warning of their treacherous position! We can take heart in knowing that he will forgive all other sins!

We cling to your promises, for like Isaiah we are naturally a people of unclean lips and we must have your cleansing power!
