Seek not my own will.

John 5:30, I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.

We look at the amazing life of Jesus, his teaching, his miracles, his sacrifice for us on the cross, and wonder how he did it all. He was seeking the will of the Father in all that he did. What could happen if we were as devoted to seeking the will of the Father?

Give us the strength to seek your will, not our own, to bring glory to Your name, O Lord!
